🟢 1. What are Living and Non-living things?
English:
Things that have life are called Living Things.
Things that do not have life are called Non-living Things.
Hindi:
जिनमें जीवन होता है, उन्हें जीवित वस्तुएँ कहते हैं।
जिनमें जीवन नहीं होता, उन्हें निर्जीव वस्तुएँ कहते हैं।
Examples:

Living things – Man, animals, birds, plants

Non-living things – Table, chair, car, stone
🟢 2. Living things can move.
English:
Animals and humans can move from one place to another.
Plants cannot move but their parts can move (like leaves of touch-me-not plant).
Hindi:
जानवर और मनुष्य एक स्थान से दूसरे स्थान तक जा सकते हैं।
पौधे अपनी जगह से नहीं हिलते, पर उनके कुछ भाग हिल सकते हैं (जैसे – छुइमुई पौधा)।

English:
All living things grow.
A baby grows into an adult.
A small plant grows into a tree.
Hindi:
सभी जीवित वस्तुएँ बढ़ती हैं।
एक बच्चा बड़ा होकर वयस्क बनता है।
एक छोटा पौधा बड़ा होकर पेड़ बनता है।

English:
Living beings need food and water to live and grow.
Plants make their own food using sunlight, air and water.
Hindi:
जीवित वस्तुओं को जीवित रहने और बढ़ने के लिए भोजन और पानी की आवश्यकता होती है।
पौधे सूर्य की रोशनी, हवा और पानी से अपना भोजन बनाते हैं।

English:
All living things breathe.
Humans breathe through nose and lungs.
Fish breathe through gills.
Plants breathe through tiny holes called stomata.
Hindi:
सभी जीवित वस्तुएँ साँस लेती हैं।
मनुष्य नाक और फेफड़ों से साँस लेते हैं।
मछलियाँ गलफड़ों से साँस लेती हैं।
पौधे छोटे छिद्रों (stomata) से साँस लेते हैं।

English:
Living things can feel changes around them.
Humans and animals use eyes, ears, nose, tongue and skin to feel.
Plants also feel changes (like sunlight, weather).
Hindi:
जीवित वस्तुएँ अपने आसपास के बदलाव को महसूस कर सकती हैं।
मनुष्य और जानवर अपनी आँखों, कान, नाक, जीभ और त्वचा से महसूस करते हैं।
पौधे भी बदलाव को महसूस करते हैं (जैसे धूप या मौसम)।

English:
All living things are born, grow, and die after some time.
Hindi:
सभी जीवित वस्तुएँ जन्म लेती हैं, बढ़ती हैं और कुछ समय बाद मर जाती हैं।

English:
Non-living things do not eat, breathe, grow, move, or feel.
They do not die.
Hindi:
निर्जीव वस्तुएँ न तो खाती हैं, न साँस लेती हैं, न बढ़ती हैं, न हिलती हैं और न ही कुछ महसूस करती हैं।
वे नहीं मरतीं।
