🌱 SOIL (मिट्टी)
✅ Definition (परिभाषा)
Soil is the topmost layer of the Earth where plants grow.
👉 मिट्टी पृथ्वी की सबसे ऊपरी परत है जहाँ पौधे उगते हैं।
Example / उदाहरण
Plants grow in garden soil.
बगीचे की मिट्टी में पौधे उगते हैं।
🌾 Importance of Soil
मिट्टी का महत्व
Soil provides water and minerals to plants.
मिट्टी पौधों को पानी व खनिज देती है।Helps in growing crops.
फसल उगाने में मदद करती है।Animals like earthworms make soil fertile.
केंचुए मिट्टी को उपजाऊ बनाते हैं।Roots of trees hold soil and prevent soil erosion.
पेड़ों की जड़ मिट्टी कटाव रोकती है।
🌿 Manure (खाद)
Definition
Manure is a mixture of animal dung and decaying plants.
👉 खाद जानवरों के गोबर और सड़े पौधों का मिश्रण है।
Example
Cow dung manure.

मिट्टी की बनावट
Soil is made of:
• Gravel – छोटे पत्थर
• Sand – रेत
• Clay – चिकनी मिट्टी
• Humus – सड़ी पत्तियाँ
• Air – हवा
• Water – पानी
Jar Experiment
मिट्टी को पानी में मिलाने पर परतें बनती हैं:
Top – Humus
Then – Muddy water
Then – Clay
Then – Sand
Bottom – Gravel

मिट्टी में हवा और पानी होता है
• पानी डालने पर बुलबुले निकलते हैं → हवा
• गर्म करने पर पानी की बूंदें बनती हैं → पानी

मिट्टी का निर्माण
Soil is formed by breaking of rocks over thousands of years.
👉 हजारों वर्षों में चट्टान टूटकर मिट्टी बनती है।
Sun + Rain + Wind → Rocks break → Soil
Dead plants mix → Fertile soil
🪨 Rocks (चट्टान)
Definition
Rocks are hard solids made of minerals.
चट्टान कठोर ठोस पदार्थ होते हैं।
Examples
Granite, Marble, Diamond, Pumice
🟤 Types of Soil
मिट्टी के प्रकार
1️⃣ Clayey Soil (चिकनी मिट्टी)
• Very fine particles
• Sticky when wet
• Holds lots of water
• Plants don’t grow well
Used for pots, toys.
2️⃣ Sandy Soil (रेतीली मिट्टी)
• Large particles
• Rough
• Cannot hold water
• Found in deserts, rivers
Plants don’t grow well.
3️⃣ Loamy Soil (दोमट मिट्टी)
• Mix of clay + sand
• Holds water + air
• Best for farming
Plants grow very well.
