English: Plants are all around us. Some plants are big and some are small.

Hindi: पौधे हमारे चारों ओर होते हैं। कुछ पौधे बड़े होते हैं और कुछ छोटे।

2. Types of Plants (पौधों के प्रकार)

A. Trees (पेड़)

Definition:
Trees are tall and strong plants. They have a thick stem called a trunk.

Hindi: पेड़ बड़े और मजबूत पौधे होते हैं। इनका तना मोटा होता है।

Examples:

• Mango (आम)

• Banyan (बरगद)

• Coconut (नारियल)

• Orange (संतरा)

B. Shrubs (झाड़ियाँ)

Definition:
Shrubs are small bushy plants with hard stems.

Hindi: झाड़ियाँ छोटे और घने पौधे होते हैं जिनका तना कठोर होता है।

Examples:

• Rose (गुलाब)

• Hibiscus (गुड़हल)

• Jasmine (चमेली)

C. Herbs (छोटे पौधे)

Definition:
Herbs are small plants with soft green stems.

Hindi: जिन पौधों का तना मुलायम होता है, उन्हें Herbs कहते हैं।

D. Creepers (लताएँ)

Definition:
Plants that grow on the ground are called creepers.

Hindi: जो पौधे जमीन पर फैलते हैं, उन्हें Creepers कहते हैं।

E. Climbers (चढ़ने वाले पौधे)

Definition:
Plants that need support to grow are called climbers.

Hindi: जो पौधे सहारे से ऊपर चढ़ते हैं, उन्हें Climbers कहते हैं।

3. Parts of a Plant (पौधे के भाग)

🌱 Root (जड़)

• Holds the plant in the soil.

• Takes water from the soil.

हिंदी: जड़ पौधे को मिट्टी में पकड़कर रखती है और पानी लेती है।

🌿 Stem (तना)

• Keeps the plant standing.

• Carries water and food.

हिंदी: तना पौधे को सीधा रखता है।

• Leaves make food for the plant.

हिंदी: पत्तियाँ पौधे के लिए भोजन बनाती हैं।

Definition:
Seeds grow into new plants.

Hindi: बीज से नया पौधा बनता है।

Examples:

• Mango seed (आम)

• Papaya seed (पपीता)

• Rice (चावल)

• Wheat (गेहूँ)

• Gram (चना)

5. Plants Need (पौधों की आवश्यकताएँ)

Plants need:

• 💧 Water (पानी)

• 🌬️ Air (हवा)

• 🌱 Soil (मिट्टी)

Hindi: पौधों को बढ़ने के लिए धूप, पानी, हवा और मिट्टी चाहिए।
